About Allison Rader

Allison Rader is the founder of Allison Rader Mathematics Tutoring and a highly experienced educator with a lifelong passion for teaching, coaching, and helping students reach their full potential. She holds a Master’s degree in Education from Villanova University and brings nearly two decades of classroom experience to her tutoring practice.

For 18 years, Allison has taught high school mathematics at Germantown Academy, where she currently also serves as a House Head, mentoring students both academically and personally. Her deep understanding of curriculum, assessment, and student learning styles allows her to meet students where they are and help them build lasting confidence in math.

Allison tutors students across all major high school math subjects, including:

  • Algebra (including Trigonometry)

  • Geometry

  • Statistics

  • Calculus

Beyond the classroom, Allison’s background as an elite athlete and coach shapes her teaching philosophy. She spent 15 years coaching water polo and was a Division I nationally ranked scorer, bringing the same discipline, motivation, and goal-oriented mindset into her academic work. She also coaches fitness classes, reinforcing her belief in balance, perseverance, and personal growth.

Allison combines academic expertise with real-world coaching experience to create a supportive, structured, and motivating learning environment. Her goal is not only to improve grades, but to help students develop strong problem-solving skills, confidence, and a positive relationship with math that will serve them well beyond high school.

Algebra

Algebra focuses on using variables, equations, and logical thinking to solve problems and understand relationships between numbers.

Geometry

Geometry explores shapes, sizes, angles, and spatial relationships, helping students understand how objects and figures fit together and interact in the real world.

Statistics

Statistics teaches students how to collect, analyze, and interpret data to make informed decisions and understand patterns and trends.

Calculus

Calculus introduces concepts like limits, derivatives, and integrals to help students understand change, motion, and complex problem-solving in advanced mathematics.
